Your store, technically up to date.

Many Shopify stores are still running on a theme that was set up years ago and never updated since. Updates get skipped because nobody knows what might break. And whether Google Analytics, tracking and the cookie banner even work correctly often only becomes clear when an ad campaign launches and the numbers don't add up.

So you know what's working.

Theme relaunch onto an officially licensed, updatable Shopify theme instead of an improvised legacy theme. Your store gets adapted to your brand's design, navigation and product display, not the other way around. On top of that come tracking & consent (GA4, cookie banner), technical SEO, Google Search Console setup and a visual refresh of your Google Business Profile.

Typical request

“My store's theme is outdated or no longer updatable” or “I don't know if my tracking even works before I run ads again.”

What you get

A technically clean, up-to-date store with a clear test protocol instead of a vague gut feeling.

What's not included?

Integrations with ERP, PIM, CRM or warehouse management systems are currently not part of my service scope. If you need something like that, we'll discuss whether a specialised partner makes sense.

Who is this for? And who isn't it for?

A good fit for

Shopify store owners with an outdated or no-longer-updatable theme, or anyone unsure whether tracking & consent are set up correctly in their store. Also for stores that are technically solid but no longer match their own brand visually.

Probably not a fit for

Stores that need deep integrations with ERP, PIM, CRM or warehouse management systems. A specialised partner is the better choice there. A pure theme relaunch is also usually not enough for very large product catalogues with complex custom logic.

What you should bring

Access to your Shopify admin area and some time for decisions on design and product display. A list of currently used apps helps with the assessment but isn't required.

What's involved, in detail.

Not every module is relevant to every store. What you actually need is something we clarify in the initial conversation.

Theme & design

Relaunch onto an officially licensed, updatable theme, individually adapted to your design, navigation and product display. Not an improvised legacy theme that turns every Shopify update into a gamble.

Tracking & consent

Correct setup of GA4 and the cookie banner, so your reporting and ad campaigns are based on reliable data instead of guesswork.

Technical SEO & visibility

Technical SEO within the store, Google Search Console setup, and a visual refresh of your Google Business Profile, so potential customers can actually find you.

Quality assurance

Browser and device testing after the relaunch, so checkout and display work reliably everywhere. Including on older smartphones.

What you actually walk away with.

  • A live, updated store on a licensed theme
  • A working tracking & consent setup (if booked)
  • Google Search Console set up
  • A test protocol from browser and device testing

How a project typically runs.

For a pure technical audit, the process shortens to the first two steps.

Audit

Technical review: theme, tracking, consent, performance, visibility.

Assess

An honest read on what's worth doing and what isn't.

Implement

Theme relaunch and technical adjustments.

Test

Browser and device testing before going live.

Hand over

Live store with a test protocol.

An honest technical assessment instead of selling everything possible.

Clear boundaries

I'm upfront about what's not part of my service scope (e.g. ERP integrations), instead of promising things I can't reliably deliver.

One point of contact

Theme, tracking and technical SEO sit with one person. That way there's no friction between multiple providers.

A technical review first

Before any major change, I check what's actually needed. Redoing everything as a matter of course just costs you money.

On references: You won't find invented client stores here. I'm not allowed to show real ones, because my client projects are covered by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). You'll find real feedback on my Google Business Profile, and the initial conversation gives you a technical check of your existing store.

Start, growth, or ongoing support.

These three paths are an orientation. What we actually do is agreed individually, and there is no minimum budget.

Start

Technical audit

A one-off audit of your existing store: theme, tracking, consent, performance and Google visibility.

  • Clearly defined scope
  • Fixed price by quote
  • Concrete action plan
Support

Ongoing store support

For stores that want continuous technical and content development.

  • Monthly support
  • Prioritisation system
  • Contact person on call

What clients want to know beforehand.

That depends on your store: product catalogue, apps, the extent of the adjustments. Which is why there are no flat prices here. After the initial conversation, you'll get a written quote with scope of work and price.

Yes. Typically I build the new theme in parallel before the final switch-over. We agree on the exact timing in advance.

Yes. Your existing products, variants and collections stay intact. A theme relaunch affects the appearance and technical foundation, not your product catalogue.

We review together which apps are still needed and which have become a drag on load time and clarity.

ERP, PIM, CRM or warehouse management integrations aren't part of the service scope. For brand design, see Branding & Corporate Design.

A clearly scoped, honestly communicated service instead of an all-in-one promise that ends up outsourced to subcontractors anyway.

That depends on the size of your product catalogue and the extent of custom adjustments. We set the specific timeframe in the quote.

Yes, that's exactly what the technical audit is for. You get an honest assessment and don't have to commit to a full relaunch straight away.

There's no obligation attached. I'll look at your store and tell you straight what's what.
